Move over citrus, mango has entered the mix - and your cocktail!

Florida’s mango season starts in May and runs through October and we're taking full advantage of this tasty stone fruit with a flavorful collection of mango mixed cocktails. Mangoes were first grown in India around 5,000 years ago, and today they are enjoyed around the world. Mangoes were first brought to the United States in 1833 when seeds were shipped from Yucatan to Cape Sable, Florida’s southernmost point. After their introduction, the delicious fruit spread throughout the state. Most commercially grown mangos are cultivated in South Florida, but you’ll spot fruiting trees across the state in backyards and orchards. Today, Florida is home to approximately 2,000 acres of mango trees.

Florida mangos are sweet, juicy and packed with nutrients. This super fruit serves up super flavors and makes an ideal local ingredient for smoothies, salsas, salads and, of course, cocktails. When shopping for mangos in grocery stores or farmer’s markets, look for fruit that is dense, smooth and has an aroma that is similar to a pineapple.

Once you've brought your mangos home, it's time to peel, pit and prep! There are plenty of ways to enjoy fresh Florida mangos, and now is the time to indulge in all their deliciousness. Try out some of our insanely good cocktails featuring fresh Florida mango.

Mango Fever

We’re starting strong and spicy with a signature sipper from our Farm to Cocktail series. We’ve explored the Sunshine State to source fresh farm ingredients and partnered with some of Florida’s best bars and distilleries to craft original cocktails. Naturally, our search for fresh mango and fun, Asian fusion cuisine took us to South Florida.

The Mango Fever is a combination of ripe mango from Tropical Acres Farms, Far East flavors and floral Japanese whisky. Created by the same minds that bring you Disco Dim Sum, you can thank Kapow Noodle Bar in West Palm Beach for this fiery, flavorful whisky creation.
