First whiffs pick up scents of fresh pineapple, cedar, and paraffin; later sniffings detect subtle notes of baked pear and sweet oak. Palate entry features a firm, moderately oily and velvety texture; by midpalate, integrated flavors of ripe peach, pear drops and bran delight the taste buds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth I first drank it in Hong Kong 1974. I found a little English pub in a alley. I was drawn by the sound of pool balls clicking. The table was small and I had honed my skills on full side tables. After cleaning several players clocks the owner invited me to free up the table for his regulars. At the back of the bar was a very large bottle of Glenlivet 15 year old hung upside down in a rack with a gravity pour spout. He drew a double and offered to me. I was a J.D. and Miller guy and had once tried Crown Royal. The sip I took made me sit up straighter. Smooth and a nice bite at the end but no shudder to my shoulders from knocking back a shot of American Whiskey. Now a days I all ways have a bottle on hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great scotch to share with great friends A delicious Scotch that pours with a golden hue. Goes down smooth and has a distinct flavor of peet. I have brought this out when I have had guests over to appreciate a nice Scotch. I have had it on the rocks, with a splash of water, and with scotch stones. Whether you drink it at room temperature, chilled or warmed, it takes on different flavors. I find drinking it warm truly opens up all the flavors in the scotch

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoooooth Although I have not tried the 25 year old bottle, due to cost, the 15 year old bottle makes my mouth water every time I think of it... For sum reason I think it feels a lot smoother than 18 and 21. It also taste like heaven in a glass, as you would expect from The Glenlivet... I highly recommend to purchase and try this 15 year old bottle for the true whiskey lovers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth as silk My wife bought this for me Valentines Day. I sparingly drink my good scotchs, (I like the sherry casked ones, and A’bundh by Abelore is a favorite) until the 15 Glenlivet! This is an awesome flavor. So easy to sip and thoroughly enjoy. My two sons are learning why “Dad” likes scotch, and tasting this one really got them hooked! Thanks for making it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected... Smooth, balanced, yet earthy and full bodied. I wanted to know if it passed the “sniff” test or would I be a victim of luxury marketing tactics for average products not worth the hype and Glenlivet 15 yr was worth every penny and more and it ended up being a gift to a dear friend who still reminisces about that gift until today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Glenlivet teenager is beautiful The 15 year old The Glenlivet is just exactly what I like in a Scotch. While slowly rolling it over the tongue one can taste and experience all the subtleties that are built into it. Some Scotches overwhelm with the peat but this does not. A gentle spirit to enjoy and help erase the cares of the day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from geat daily drink Wonderful whiskey I love the spice notes and smooth finish, it is at a price point that I can enjoy a bit on a Wednesday evening. I have much more expensive whiskeys but I find my self coming back to this one for its great balance of fruit and spice. Not too hot so I can enjoy it neat.
