Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 yellow onions, sliced
  • Splash of Intercept Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
  • White cheddar cheese
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 packages brioche buns
  • Iceberg lettuce

Directions

Pour a glass of Intercept Cabernet Sauvignon and then place a sauté pan over medium heat and melt butter. Once the butter has melted, add the sliced onions. Reduce heat to low and add a splash of wine. Simmer and stir until onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 15 minutes.

In a separate bowl, combine the ground beef with the diced onion and salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly. Using your hands, form small patties approximately 3 inches in diameter and 1 ½ inches thick.

Put the patties on a medium high heated grill or a lightly buttered medium high grill pan for 3-5 minutes on each side. Once flipped, place a square of cheese on the patty and let melt.

While the sliders are grilling, toast the brioche buns. When patties are cooked to desired temperature, remove from grill and build the slider with tomato, lettuce and sautéed onions. Serve and enjoy.
