Nothing little about the flavor: Petite Sirah is big. And dark. And did we mention, big and dark? The grapes themselves are little, but the flavor profile is muscular, rich and tannic, with plummy dark fruit (blueberry is often prominent) and spicy pepper and eucalyptus aromas. It's a wine for people who love substance and presence—who like their wine to talk back. One proud grower even compares their wine to "blueberry motor oil" which, obviously, they mean in only the fondest and most complimentary way.
