Technique without terroir: "Bordeaux blend" signifies a wine that was made using traditional the Bordeaux approach to winemaking, but that didn't actually come from Bordeaux. It's typically a blend of some or all of the Bordeaux faves: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and other grapes are typical. Most red Bordeaux blend wines will contain the same core structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with other grapes used in varying proportions. Learn More
