The first sniffings find toasty notes of charcoal and minerals more than botanicals; later inhalations following aeration stir glimpses of fabric, hemp and butter. The palate entry is firm, moderately sweet and nearly plump; at midpalate the taste profile turns a bit drier, if a touch fruity. Ends up uncomplicated and grainy sweet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our Favorite We've been drinking Gordon's Gin for many years. Our martini's are delicious and everyone we serve loves them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth I drink gin on the rocks, & I find Grodons to be the smoothest that I've tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only gin served on the "African Queen". Charlie Allnut's favorite gin until Rose worked her charms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good English-style Gin Nothing fancy; just good gin. Has a taste that only real Gin can provide. No fancy flavors or ingredients. This is the Gin Queen Victoria had a tablespoon full of every night before retiring. If it was good enough for Humphry Bogart in "African Queen" it's good enough for me. I've been drinking it everyday for 52+ years. It is the only Gin I buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Old Stand by I am mostly a scotch drinker. But on occassion enjoy a gin and tonic. I happen to like a bit of a bite to my beverages. I have had saphire and Tanqueray and like them for martinis. But for a good gin and tonic or a mixing gin, cant beat this. Been drinking for over 40 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Price I have been using this brand for gin and tonic for years having been introduced to it by a roommate's parents while staying in their cottage in Old Saybrook. Then, I saw a recommendation in Bon Appetit for gin and tonic. I don't use this for martini's, however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gordons Gin on the rocks has been my favorite before dinner cocktail for a very long time!! I have to have Beefeaters (not that its not also nice) while dining out because it is almost impossible that a restaurant would stock it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I buy cheap gin because I flood it with tonic. Good gin would be Boodles for example and it's a waste of money to give it the same treatment as one cannot fully taste it
