A simplistic cocktail, the Gimlet dates back to the late 1800s when sailors would sip gin and lime juice to combat scurvy. Today, the Gimlet serves as a go-to for cocktail lovers worldwide. With the addition of rosemary to our rendition, the Rosemary Gimlet becomes a flavorful version of the original.
Remove both ends of lime then cut in half. For each half, remove the white vein in the middle. Cut the halves into quarters and add to mixing glass.
Add 1 oz of rosemary simple syrup* and muddle ingredients.
Add 2 oz of Tito’s Vodka and ice to the mixing glass.
Shake well and pour into presentation glass.
Garnish with sprig of rosemary.
*To make rosemary simple syrup, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a pot. Add 3 sprigs of rosemary. Bring mixture to a boil. Let it cool. Store in an airtight container.
