Or if you prefer, cold beer. This would be a good weekend to check out some interesting craft or artisan brews. In fact, pick up a four pack or so of something interesting as the best Father's Day present ever. A well-crafted ale goes wonderfully with steak or burgers off the grill.

But back to the wine. It's supposed to hit around 100 every day this weekend here in central Florida. Sounds like pool time is in order. Chill some steamed shrimp, or grill some on skewers (delicious marinade: lime juice, garlic, chopped fresh ginger), maybe a green salad or some crusty bread, and pick up a bottle of dry white wine--maybe a bone-dry Chablis--and take it easy.
